With a slight relief in the weather, work at Ratoath College has now started for the construction of a new GAA pitch and training area.
Another good year for Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds at the ALCI awards, with a win in the Sportsgrounds category for the sports facilities at Holycross College Strabane and an award of merit for the Golf Centre of Excellence at Greenmount College Antrim.

Work has now commenced at St Canices GAC Dungiven for the construction of their new floodlit training field.
August 2008
Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds have provided a successful demonstration at Greenmount College Antrim during Barenbrug's information day. Throughout the day talks were taken by Barenbrug, Greenmount College, Turftrax, the head grounds men from Manchester City Football Club and Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds, including a practical surface drainage demonstration.
July 2008
University College Dublin have awarded Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds the contract to construct a new Sand Filled Hockey Pitch. This site has now started, due for completion in 12 weeks.
June 2008
Armoy GAC have asked us to commence work on their new sand/soil pitch and training area.
May 2008
After being awarded the contract by NEELB, the construction of 2 rugby pitches with 2 natural cricket wickets, synthetic cricket wickets and car park area has now started.
March 2008
Work has commenced at Hillsborough Farm Research Centre. We are providing the ground works for new silo heating systems for H&J Martin.
February 2008
Work has commenced at Abbey Grammar School Newry. This is the replacement school in Newry being built by Woodvale Construction. We are installing a 3rd Generation Synthetic Pitch and two sand carpet natural Gaelic pitches.

ALCI SPORTSGROUND AWARD WINNERS 2007
We have recently won the ALCI award for 2007 for the Sportsground category. This is the second year running we have won this award. We received the award for Saval GAC Newry. We also received a Certificate of Merit for the construction of a Third Generation pitch at St. Malachy's School Belfast.
November 2007
We have purchased a new pedestrian air injection machine. This machine is used for relieving compaction, to a maximum depth of 460mm (18"). It is ideal for use in localised areas where a hard pan is present below the reach of the normal verti-drain/groundbreaker depth.

We have recently purchased a new Graden Sand Injection Machine which enhances our ability to carry out specialist works on Golf Greens and Bowling Greens.
A working demonstration organised by the Down County GAA board where our specialist machinery was on show. This was a very interesting day which had a mixture of presentations and working demonstrations by our machinery. The whole event was successful in raising awareness of maintenance issues and techniques in the county.

Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds achieves SAFE T CERT accreditation
By continually striving toward self improvement Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds have achieved SAFE T CERT to compliment their ISO 9002 quality accreditation. Safe T cert is awarded by a third party body for health and safety. At Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds we would like to thank all our employees for their excellent attitude toward Health and Safety for both themselves and the public.

University of Ulster High Performance Centre
Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds have been selected to construct two new pitches for the Jordanstown campus. A new GAA pitch and a new soccer pitch at the universities new sport high performance centre will provide it with the top quality facilities it demands. Work is due to commence mid July.

St Patricks, Mayobridge GAC Design and Build
One of the leading Co-Down clubs has asked Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds to carry out its full design and build service, providing one full size GAA pitch and an additional training area. This will further enhance the clubs facilities and provide an excellent foundation for their championship ambitions. Work has commenced.
